The clinic has grown from annually serving only a few dozen patients to nearly 1,000. We continue to respond to the exploding need for health care services to the underinsured.
To become a patient:
- Applicants first must be financially screened to determine eligability (must fall 200% or below the federal poverty line).
- Applicants must not have health insurance of any kind.
Some of the services the clinic provides include:
- General Health Medical Clinic
- Patient Education Program
- Comprehensive Outreach Program
- Mentoring and Counseling Programs
Established in 2003, the Commonwealth Clinic was the first free clinic in Chesterfield County. In 2006, the Clinic partnered with the Richmond Outreach Center and began the process of changing it’s name to The Love of Jesus Health Clinic to better reflect our strong belief that providing healing for the body is only part of the process of bringing healing and hope to an individual’s life.
